As previously mentioned, Pantone Institute puts out their pick of color trends for the season. This time around there are pastel pinks, different color blues, bright oranges, and some neutral colors that we are looking forward to seeing.

We feel that the color orange peel is going to be a big summer hit. It’s bright color makes it perfect for sundresses, purses and sandals. Coral pink is a nice winter to spring transition color since winter is filled with dark colors. Pink is probably the most popular transition color. We also think it’s just a pretty color for the season. Blue has been the biggest color trend for the spring and summer season, especially mosaic blue and navy blue. Mosaic blue is a nice pastel looking color to bring into the season. Navy seems to just be a nice classic color to bring back for the upcoming season. With every color trend comes a neutral color, which is why we added this beige looking color called lark. It’s good to have a staple neutral color in your wardrobe.

Bermuda Shorts Trend:

C. Brunello Cucinelli - Lightweight Twill Bermuda Shorts $1095 - Shop Here
D. Alice + Olivia - Eric High-Waist Bermuda Shorts $250 - Shop Here

This trend seems to have a very tropical vibe. The bermuda shorts are coming into style this spring and summer season. This trend originally started as a military piece for soldiers to wear in warmer climates, so that fact that its coming back today proves that we value things that are vintage. These shorts can come in many different styles and colors that are perfect for spring and summer.

Bold Prints Trend:

Pattern trend

A. Dries Van Noten - Puvis Floral Wide Leg Pants $625 - Shop Here
B. Dries Van Noten - Rolta Floral Metallic Cotton Blend Coat $1635 - Shop Here

E. Vince Camuto - Treesha Pump $64.48 (50% off) - Shop Here

You won’t miss seeing this trend appear in the streets this upcoming season, literally. Bold patterns are returning this year and trust me, no one’s going to be shy about it. From big animal prints to florals or random big prints, this trend is sure to be an eye catcher. It seems that a unanimous trend going around is to be bold and unique which this trend does not shy away from.

Corset Trend:

Corset trend

A. Tadiashi Shoji - V-Neck Sleeveless Corset Lace Gown $279 - Shop Here
B. AFRM - Lina Midi Dress $88.80 (40% off) - Shop Here
C. Topshop - Corset Top $30 - Shop Here
D. Alexander McQueen - Lace Trim Leaf Crepe Corset Blazer $3190 - Shop Here

OO LA LA! This next trend is very classic, chic, and even a bit medieval. Corsets have made there way into being a spring and summer trend. The word “snatched” comes to mind when we see this trend. This year, along with past years is all about being curvy and cinched in, which this trend proves. Women of the french court wore corsets to give them their shape, so we think it’s great that it is being modernized today. Above we see it in blazers, dresses, and shirts. Old fashions seem to always make their way back into modern trends in a new and exciting way.

Neon Trend:

E. Balenciaga - Triple S Neon Clear Sole Sneakers $995 - Shop Here

You might wanna cover your eyes for this bright and colorful trend. Neon is back again and it’s still brighter than ever. Vintage fashions have seemed to make a comeback this season and neon is one of them. Neon originated in the 1980’s to steer away from the more muted colors from the 70’s. Being bright and bold has even seemed to move to today which is why this is becoming such a big and reused trend. It’s especially going to be a great transition trend for this upcoming season change.

Button-Up Shirt Trend:

Blouse Trends

A. Frank and Eileen - Button-Down Long Sleeve Cotton Shirt $126 - Shop Here
B. Calson - Button Front Chambray Shirt $59 - Shop Here
C. Karl Lagerfeld Paris - Printed Button-up Blouse $79.50 - Shop Here

Staple pieces are always important to have in a new season. This season just happens to be button up shirts. These shirts are staples because they can be considered casual and dressy depending on how you wear them. Dress it down with a pair of jeans and sneakers or dress it up with the trendy blazer jacket and some dress pants. It just seems to be a versatile piece to keep in your wardrobe. The material of these shirts is also a nice transition from winter to spring because they are thin enough to not make you sweat, but also nice for those colder spring days.
