Another season, another trend… or should we say trends. Every year brings many unique fashion trends that stand out. This year is no different. This spring and summer brings many trends that have variety in color, texture, and unique designs. We will be sharing our first five fashion trends and colors that we are looking forward to this spring and summer.

Every season Pantone Institute puts out a list of the colors to watch for and we love what they have predicted. The colors for this spring and summer seem to have a wide variety of earthy tones, but also a pop of bold colors. Flame Scarlet red, Saffron, Faded Denim, Grape Compote, and Chive green are a few of our favorites.
The Flame Scarlet color is a very bold red which is an interesting color for spring and summer. It seemed to be a popular accessory color, which can add a nice pop for the season. For a color transition, it’s good to have bright colors like Saffron in your wardrobe. It is a mood lifter color especially after wearing all the dark colors in winter. Faded denim is the comeback trend of the season. Denim jackets or jeans has been popular for a few years now and it’s still going strong. Grape Compote is a unique color for this year and we love it! It’s vibrant and it looks chic on any piece of clothing or accessory. The last color we are very excited about is Chive green. There are always earthy tones that come with spring and summer and this green one sets the bar high. With the season changing, we love the idea of “going green” with your fashion.

The classic polka dot has come back into style and we are not going to be shy about it. There are purses, sunglasses, shoes, dresses, and pants that are covered in them. Polka dots are everywhere. This trend is perfect for this season because it is bold yet elegant. It can also be worn casually or formally, which is always a nice transition. We love the idea of being bold this spring and summer. Winter is always so dark, so brightening it up with a fun pattern or color is the perfect way to start the season off.

Blazers are back in business! A confident dresser is a confident woman and that’s what this trend proves. Business wear has been popular for a while now, but we have a feeling that this season they are gonna be bigger than ever. There will be bold colors, bold shoulders, and bold women. Being a “boss woman” is a commonly used phrase, which is very fitting for this blazer trend. Just pair it with some dress pants or a skirt and your business look is complete. Show up anywhere in full confidence this upcoming season.

This trend isn’t just something your grandma made, it’s much more. Crochet is becoming a big trend for spring and summer and we are intrigued by it. Again, being bold is what it’s about this season so this definitely passes the test. All of the crochet designs are unique and very different from each other. There are purses that are more traditional crochet or purses that are a little more glam with crochet. It is the same with dresses. There are dresses that are meant to look completely crochet and there are some that have hidden crochet throughout. Also, wearing these types of clothing can feel very custom, which is why we think people love it so much. We are excited to see what this trend brings to the spring and summer season.

As seen in our previous spring transition blog, we mentioned trench coats. It just so happens that it is an upcoming trend! We love this trend because of the variety. Trench coats come in many different colors and designs which is perfect for spring and summer. Above, we found a light blue and a light pink trench coat which are perfect colors for spring. These coats also give luxury to the season. They give a stylish and classy appeal to any look. Trench coats are just an iconic staple piece to have.

We’ve seen black leather and brown leather, but this spring and summer is bringing in many colors of leather. This colorful leather trend embodies spring more than the rest. The colors we have seen have been bright and bold colors that are sure to stand out among anybody. Changing this season’s wardrobe is about going from dark and drab to bright and shining and this trend does just that. These are going to be conversation starters for sure. We are excited to see what kind of colorful leather pieces people wear this spring.
