We still have about a month to go until Spring officially arrives but with the warm, sunny days sprinkled into the recent weather forecasts, it’s important that your wardrobe is ready to greet the new Season now. There is so much excitement in the air around this upcoming Spring season that our calendar is already starting to fill up with Spring Wardrobe appointments. Maybe everyone is just tired of the cold, or maybe it’s the hot new trends and colors that everyone is excited about – either way, our stylists are ready to help you through the winter to spring transition.
In last week’s blog, we gave you 5 easy ways to start transitioning your wardrobe from Winter to Spring. This week, we took it a step further and went ahead and coordinated 5 transitional outfits that you can wear now and into Spring.
Want to know the best part of all? We’ve even given you multiple ways to wear each outfit! Swapping a shoe or handbag can totally switch up and freshen any look. Rocking high-end designer tags featuring multiple bold, bright colors, an eye-grabbing print, and statement-making accessories (all at the same time) is not for the faint-of-heart. A head-turning look like this one is reserved for our bold fashion lovers who aren’t afraid to let their clothes do the talking. We love the thought of pairing these fabulous floral Etro pants with a bright lemon yellow blouse, like this woven one by Something Navy. However, there are always different ways to rock this outfit with a more toned down approach. For instance, lose the bright yellow top and opt for a simple black shell tank or camisole instead to wear with these bold print on the bottom.
If you are keeping a neutral colored handbag, like this white Gucci, try a bright Spring-colored shoe like this light purple pump by Sam Edelman. Or go the other route and wear a white bootie or gold flat and then add a colorful bag into the mix. We loved how both the blue and lilac colored bags make the whole outfit pop beautifully.
Pro Style Tip: Remember, when adding a pop of color to an already colorful outfit, especially if the colors aren’t always paired together, be sure to match the tone across all of the colors you use, that way your outfit will always coordinate.
If you’ve been keeping up with our style blogs and Instagram, you know that we are obsessed with a snakeskin print for the new Spring Season. Another color trend we are excited about is the return of the earthy neutrals – khakis, greens, beige, buff and other ‘of the earth’ colors. When we saw this flowy, green snakeskin midi by Topshop, we were inspired to combine our love of these two trends to create one epic, stylish look.
Go yellow, green or gold with your handbag choices. We even think you could even pull off any colored in the rightt tone – try a pink, red or orange with this look too! We’re really loving this tortoise-handled yellow bag by Topshop (loving what they did with their Spring collection!) paired with the Saint Laurent brown heeled sandals. Or go with the gold bag and pair it with these neutral croc-skin booties by Matisse.
Although we saw white jeans being worn throughout Fall and Winter as a statement-making trend, many of our clients weren’t as comfortable rocking the white-bottomed looks outside of the Spring and Summer months. For those of our readers who feel similarly to our clients, now’s a good and safe time to start introducing your white jeans back into your wardrobe.
As you know, we are excited about snakeskin. One of the reasons it’s so exciting is because we are seeing it on everything – skirts, shoes, bags, and tops, like this high-neck sleeveless one by Joie. We love the thought of keeping this as a completely neutral-toned glam look. You can keep it simply chic with a big, but neutral, statement-making earrings and an earthy-colored shoe or for a fun twist, mix-it-up by throwing in a bright colored bag like this yellow one and this magenta one by Saint Laurent.
Last week, we discussed switching our your darker wash denim to lighter washes for Spring. This is one of the easiest ways to start transitioning your closet. Pair your light jeans, like these by Rag & Bone, with soft, Springy hues like light pinks and muted teals and blues. For chillier spring days, toss on the perfect Spring outerwear like this quilted-moto jacket by Halogen.
Obsessed with this statement crystal-collar necklace by Lizzie Fortunato is an understatement. Which shoe would you pair with this ensemble – the neutral-toned wooden heeled booties by Frye or these soft-toned pink booties?
There are lots of bohemian-vibed fashion trends making their way into stores for Spring. We’re seeing everything from crochet and macrame clothing and bags, excess fringe, lots tye-dye and colorful, counterculture prints inspired by 60’s and 70’s fashion statements.
Take the bohemian trend into the 21st century, by doing it in a fashion-forward way. Throw on a graphic t-shirt, like this horse printed tee by Chloe with your distressed Rag & Bone crop jeans. Add some boho flair with a colorful embroidered bag like this one by Johnny Was and a good-vibe crystal necklace for a little bit of fun. Toss on a longline cardigan sweater and a snakeskin bootie for cooler days and you’re all set!
